Thai Spices
Thai Spices is the longstanding vegetarian-and-vegan Thai kitchen in West Sedona — fully plant-based, healthy without being preachy, generous portions, and unusually good curry depth for a meat-free kitchen. The locals' veg-friendly answer that also wins over carnivores who try it: cosy room, quick service, BYO wine from the Whole Foods two minutes down the road.
Why we send guests here
In West Sedona, five minutes from our properties. A fully vegetarian and vegan Thai restaurant that has been in the same West Sedona spot for over twenty years. The fact that it is plant-based is almost incidental — the curries have the depth you'd expect from a meat-and-fish-sauce kitchen because the broth work and chile balance is that good. Order the massaman curry with tofu and the pad see ew (rice noodles, broccoli, Thai sweet soy); the tom kha soup is a generous starter for two. The fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce are an easy first course. When to go: any night, reservation suggested on weekends. BYO wine — they don't have a liquor license, but there's a Whole Foods two minutes east. $20–$35 per person. The vegan-friendly answer for guests with dietary restrictions and the surprise hit for guests who don't usually order vegetarian. Cosy, slightly cramped dining room — go for the food, not the room.
