Colt Grill BBQ
Colt Grill is the best BBQ in the Sedona area — a casual smokehouse in the Village of Oak Creek with brisket, pulled pork, smoked turkey, and the burnt-end appetiser that disappears off every table within minutes of arrival. Not fancy, not pretending to be. Patio seating, generous portions, good local beer list. Family-friendly with no reservations needed.
Why we send guests here
In the Village of Oak Creek, eight minutes from our SR-179-side rentals and the easiest BBQ stop coming back from a Bell Rock or Courthouse hike. The smoker runs on oak and pecan; brisket goes in at sunrise and comes off at 5 PM. Order the brisket plate with the burnt-end appetiser, and the smoked turkey if you have a third person at the table — it is dry-brined and unusually moist for a Q-house bird. Sides: the mac and cheese is the standout; the cornbread is honey-buttered and almost dessert-grade. When to go: any night, walk in. The patio is dog-friendly and the beer list leans Arizona — Oak Creek Brewery and Mother Road get rotation. $20–$35 per person. This is the no-reservation, no-fuss casual dinner that fits between a big day of hiking and a relaxed evening in the hot tub. Kids menu is real BBQ in smaller portions, not pretend food.
