Sedona Pickleball Courts
Pickleball is big in Sedona, and the public courts at Posse Grounds Park in West Sedona are where the action is. They're open to visitors, the regulars are welcoming, and a morning round between red-rock views is one of the easiest ways to feel like a local for an hour.
What it is
Posse Grounds Park is the City of Sedona's main recreation hub, with dedicated pickleball courts alongside tennis, a playground, ramada picnic areas, and trail access. Play is generally free and first-come, with informal drop-in sessions where you rotate in with whoever is around — the Sedona pickleball community is active and friendly to newcomers.
Getting there & when to play
From AZ-89A in West Sedona, turn north on Posse Ground Road to the park. Courts are busiest in the cool morning hours, especially in the high season (spring and fall) when winter visitors are in town — arrive early or come midday in shoulder season to find an open court. Check the City of Sedona Parks & Recreation page for any reserved or league times.
Good to know
Bring your own paddles and balls if you can; visitors can also rent or buy gear at a couple of shops in town. Wear court shoes, bring water and sun protection (the courts get full sun), and a hat — Sedona's elevation makes the sun stronger than it feels. Be ready to share courts and rotate during busy drop-in play.
